I have heard some questions asked, generally by people who do not believe in God. What is believed to be the answers to those questions are not founded in truth. It is not possible for someone who does not believe in God to answer their own questions about him because they do not have the knowledge nor the understanding to do so. Even people who have read the bible in part and still do not believe do not realize that the bible is not a book to be read. It is a book to be studied and is only spiritually discerned.

1 Corinthians 2:14

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

So I am going to take a few of those questions and try to shed some light where Satan has created darkness. First my prayer is that the grace of God would unharden your heart and open your understanding that you may receive the truth of His word.

  1. If there is a God, how could he send someone to hell?

I have a question to ask you. Let’s just say that you approach me asking for directions. I say “well you will want to go to the left because if you go to the right there is a cliff and many have died going in that direction”. In spite of my direction to take the road to the left you decide to take the road to the right. Did I send you there or did you choose to go there?

It is the desire of God that everyone be saved, he does not want not one person to miss out on a relationship with him.

1 Timothy 2:4

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

This scripture clearly states the desire of the Lord. I mean someone would have to intentionally misinterpret this. He wants all of mankind to be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth. The truth that He speaks of is Jesus Christ.

The only reason that we are all still here on this earth is because God is waiting for the gospel to be preached all over the world. All must hear the gospel of grace before he is to return.

2 Peter 3:9

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The amplified bible puts it this ways:

The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should return to repentance.

The promise that is being spoken of in the beginning of this scripture is the promise of the return of Christ. People are always talking about the end of the world and the return of Christ. Debating about his timing, and whether it is sooner than later. This scripture is telling us that it may seem like God is taking his precious time but he is taking his time in love because he does not desire that any would perish.

This so clearly shows the heart of the Father for the world. Not just for those who already believe in him, but for the whole entire world. The death of Jesus was for every single person created in the womb of their mother. His love for us is beyond human reasoning and he is waiting for you, for all to come into the knowledge of him.

  1. If there really was a God then why won’t he come and do something about all the war, killings and bad things that are happening in the world?

Well, there are three answers to this question. The first can be summed up in two simple words, free will.

God has given every single human being free will. We all have the ability to decide what direction to take in our lives and what we want to believe. He has told us to choose him and in doing so choosing life, but not everyone has decided to make that choice and it is within their free will to do so.

Deuteronomy 30:19

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

It is like a teacher giving you a test and giving you all the answers before you take it. It is still up to you to choose the answers that were given, or go with your own answers knowing that your own answers will not be right.

The second reason, is in order for God to do something, those who are the children of God would need to do something. God has given his children his power and authority in the earth through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. God operates through his children to see his will accomplished in the earth. Unfortunately there has been a breach in the church and many of the children of God are not aware of who they truly are. Much of the condition of the world is due to the condition of the church.

The third reason is because if God was to come down and judge them for their sin he would have to judge the whole world of their sin. It is easy to recognize the sin that dwells in others while ignoring the sin that exists within our own hearts. If God has to come and do something about them then he also has to come and do something about you. God does not like sin in general. Whether it is your sin or their sin. Whether it is sin that can be seen or sin that is committed behind closed doors. He is not pleased with any of it. That is the reason for the death of Christ. He had to remove the sin in order to restore the relationship that we were created to have with God from the beginning of time.

Acts 17:30-31

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that an whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

The amplified version reads

Such [former] ages of ignorance God ignored, it is true ignored and allowed to pass unnoticed; but now He charges all people everywhere to repent (to change their minds for the better and heartily to amend their ways, with abhorrence of their past sins), Because he has a fixed a day when He will judge the world righteously (justly) by a Man whom He has destined and appointed for that task, and He has made this credible and gives conviction and assurance and evidence to everyone by raising him from the dead.

He is coming back at one time to judge the whole world. He is not going to judge some now and then judge some later.

  1. What about all the poor, sick and helpless people?

No one is without help. There is not one person that is left helpless in the Kingdom of God. They may live their life that way and that is by their choice and not the desire of God. Through christ we have every thing that we could ever need in this life and the next. There is no lack of provision for anything in the Kingdom of God.

2 Peter 1:3

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

This scripture says that God has given us everything that we need for this life and to live this life according to his word. The word hath, is past tense. Meaning that he has already done it, he has already made provision for everything. The things that you are going through or will go through do not catch God off Guard where he has to scramble and come up with a plan and a source of provision for you. He has already made provision for every single thing that you will face here on this earth. He did not leave one thing unattended when he planned out every detail of your precious life.

You also have to pay attention to the next part of this scripture that deals with how to obtain the provision that has already been made for us.

2 Peter 1:3

…..through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.

Is he saying that it is through the knowledge of Christ that we receive this provision? That is exactly what he is saying. How do you get something that belongs to you if you have no clue that it is yours. If I have set aside a special account for you that has a million dollars in it, how will you get it besides I tell you about it. You can be walking around your whole life being broke when the whole time you had money that I set aside for you.

You see God has set aside a special account for you my friend. The account has healing, prosperity, wisdom, business plans, anything that you will possibly need for your life in it. In order to get what has been placed in the account you first have to find out about it. What is the account number, what do you need to do to make a withdraw? All this information is in the word of God, that is where you gain the information to access the account full of your life’s provision.

The true problem with many people and what I have shared in this post is accountability. Once you know that there is a God who has given you the choice to choose him, and made you responsible for your own life through the acceptance and acknowledgment of his Son it makes people accountable for their own lives and decisions. It is so much easier to say there is a sovereign God who is in control of all things because that means no matter what I do in my life it is apart of his grand design. If I say there is no God, well man…..I am really free from consequence and judgment then.

The truth of the matter is you have never even known freedom until you know Christ. You have never known love until you have had an encounter with love himself. You have never known provision until the owner of provision is your provider. You have never known healing until the creator of the universe becomes your great physician.

I urge you friends to set aside the reservations that Satan has erected as a dividing wall around your heart to keep you away from him who has known you before you were ever known.

I hope this has blessed you!!
